My experience with Shape at Vinegar reinforced my commitment to use the arts to advocate for social justice. I have done this work for 20 years and am now archiving projects in public space, and making plans to mentor youth. I will be installing a permanent exhibition of Living in Limbo: Lesbian Families in the Deep South, Family Matters: Youth Perspectives, and Sapphic Dance at new facilities for Birmingham Aids Outreach (BAO).  Those projects may be viewed at http://www.carolynsherer.com. When the current PBS exclusive expires, BAO will manage future screenings of the feature length documentary about lesbian families that I co-directed, Alabama Bound. During the Shape virtual residency, I committed to teach at this not for this profit that offers art instruction for underserved youth, https://youthinfocus.org/exposurevalues.
